What you wanted to know and maybe not

Listen, if I need to put something here to help you better understand where I am, what I'm doing and why I've bothered to even attempt updating this whatever-you-call this, I should do something creative, something unreal, something wild and spontaneous.  But I won't.  Somehow, this isn't going to be incredibly sane or funny.  Simply, if you came up to me, asked me who I am, this is the place where you'd find out what I say.  Okay? Good.  So let's pretend you came up to me and said, "hey, who are you?"

Here's what I would say:

Hey, I'm Tim.

I used to live in sunny, warm, Fort Myers, Florida, but now I live in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.  It's really cold there.  In fact, it's so cold, it snowed on October 2.  Anyway, the one thing I want you to know most is this: Jesus Christ is my Savior, He died for my sins, He rose again, and He has given me (yes even me) a purpose to living, and now I am part of a cosmic drama intricately portrayed in God's Word the Bible!  Other than that, I love talking, meeting new people, being with friends, talking, playing with kids, athletics, playing my guitar, and sitting down with people just to listen to stories.  That's me.  I'm active in my college, Baptist Bible College, and I am so excited to be journeying along this mysterious path, this journey of the heart.  God is doing His work in my life, and He alone gives me the strength to keep running in this great race we call life.  (Heb. 12:1-2)  The most important lesson I've learned is this:  Trust God.  I'm useful if you tell me to debate, give me directions and tell me to cook, give me a shirt to iron and iron it for me while I watch, ask me to fly you somewhere, sit me down and ask me to listen to you, ask me to watch your kids, share your burden with me and ask me to pray, ask me to calculate  the derivative  y = ax when x=0, and if I think of something else I'll tell you, but those ARE things I'm useful for, but not the only things.  Well, other than that, I'm Tim, I like my middle name Richard, and I'm sometimes just a kid with a smile on his face because he's been made fun of by people who are used to snow.  Don't forget, I'd love to meet you.
