Why the New York City trip? Because it was fun. I had fun. My friends had fun. And, I guess you
could say it was an adventure! What are five college kids going to do in the city? Be tourists, and boy
do we know how...or to be fair to the rest of the gang, do I know how. I mean when you're walking around
with sunglasses on, water bottles in hand, laughing at everything, and walking around stopping to look at
cafes and stores, it doesn't help that I have a camera in hand taking a picture of everything in sight, and yes,
innocent new yorker bystanders. So maybe it paid off, I don't know but you can be the judge of that. Enjoy.

What do two guys do walking down 42nd avenue do? Meet 3 beautiful and amazing women at the New York Public Library. That changed the whole day. It's probably the only reason the day was absolutely marvelous. |
With only one objective in mind, we walk all of 20 streets to the Central Park for lunch. Hot dogs. Other than hot dogs in central park or a random MacDonalds next to Bloomingdales and armed with a book bag full of drinks and apples, I, Tim, was the next best thing for food. |
What would even out to another 6 streets north, we wandered the park until we found the Wollman Skating Rink. Left to right, Tim, Michelle, Wendy, Laura, and Eric pose together for our first of several together shots, at least while they're looking. |

Picture speaks louder than words. Tim and Eric struggle to strike a pose while innocent New Yorkers wander by wondering why there are two obvious tourists posing by the Pink Flower Trees. | Clever? This would be the I forget the name of this ritzy restaurant's but its GIANT one way window made for a good second group picture! Unfortunately, you are unable to see the looks barley visible people gave us on the other side of yes, this window. Hey, it was worth it, and could we make our tourism any more obvious? Not when I'm around at least. | Michelle, Laura and the famous Joan Detwittler, well who knows what her name is but she was a yellow, good edition to this gap model shot on the corner of some busy intersection along park avenue. I'm telling you, at least 3 pictures at every corner. These are only a select few. |

Hey, it's Eric and Ray Bari himself. Famous for his doughy and extra crispy new york pizza, Ray takes a a few seconds to pose for an amazing picture with Eric. Eric obviously is thrilled beyond description for such an occasion! Prize this picture! | Just past Bloomindales, walking, having the time of our life, we stopped amazed. I mean look at this picture. Only tourists are in awe over this. A bike is tied to a road sign!! It was worth a picture. (normal people like Michelle, Wendy, Laura and Eric, and okay Tim too are astounded over normal stuff like how high these building are) | Man, sometimes you have to be fun. I doubt the others minded. Seriously, random is fun. Especially walking around with a book bag on, and a camera in hand. I did it with style. And, we got pictures we'll always look back to and remember how much fun we had in the city. |

A trip to NY isn't complete unless you stop by St. Patrick's Cathedral. The girls were supposed to be praying. I guess at least in a Catholic church, they're doing enough. I mean, while they were doing the right thing, here Eric and I were getting in trouble. | The Time-Life bulding sent Tim searching frantically for something in his bag of stuff to make friends with the local pigeons. He had them going, until either Eric or the girls went haywire on them. Too bad I can't remember who. | On each corner, there were the neatest looking Light Brights I have ever seen! Remember those things from back in the day? These unique contraptions had a hand and a little guy walking on them. (I mean who doesn't know what this is? I had to come up with something.) |

Walking down 42nd I think, a picture of the crew making strides in tourist-pavement relations. Too bad We didn't have more time to walk in the city. It's not like 6 miles isn't far or anything. Oh but wait, the subway. | An adorable picture. Too bad that paparazzi maniac snuck into the picture. Hey, oh well. Did I tell you how amazing these three girls are? I did, but let me just say that these three girls are golden. We couldn't have asked for better company or a better time in New York City. | The Subway ride home. This was fun. But oh, look at these New Yorkers. Let's pretend we are, I mean we're doing a good job, aren't we? We rode the 4 train all the way to Woodlawn in the Bronx. From there Mark (my uncle) picked us up, gave us the quick tour of Yonkers, took us to his house, ordered New York Pizza, and him and his wife waved us goodbye. |
Wow, what a story! This, I assure
you, is the brief version. Talk to me, Michelle, Wendy, Laura, or Eric and
they'll tell you all about the New York Trip.
At least I hope so. But seriously, it was one of the greatest ways
to end a year of college. Not only was it a great "Banquet"
finisher and a release from
the pressures of work and school, it was an encouraging and uplifting day full
of special and unforgettable memories.
