No More Nationalism
Tim Benedict

The term nationalist pride can no longer apply to the United States of America .

Because people like Al Gore and William Saletan

feel their opinion matters in the government of America , nationalism is lost to relativistic, self-centered, "no-fair" politics.

First, in reply to the post by William Saletan, I would like to ask comment on his "I've waited and waited for evidence."

They won't give you the evidence.  They don't have to.  Accept it.

This brings me to my second problem with your posting.  You side with Al Gore.  Al Gore absolutely has no concern for America at war with terrorism.

If you don't believe me, read what Al Gore said when he addressed the American Israel Political Action Committee on May 23, 2000 . (obviously with a pre-election agenda)

He states, "In 1991 I broke with many of my own party and voted to use force to stop Saddam Hussein's aggression in the Middle East...Despite our swift victory and all our efforts since, there is no doubt in my mind that Saddam Hussein still seeks to amass weapons of mass destruction. You know as well as I do: as long as Saddam Hussein stays in power, there can be no comprehensive peace for the people of Israel or the people of the Middle East . We have made it clear that it is our policy to see Saddam Hussein gone."

Refer back to Gore's position now, which you agree with Mr. Saletan. Now that the man he lost the election to (and a good portion of Gore supporters are thankful)is passionately pursuing to war with the barbaric forces of terrorism (according Gore's campaign strategy, Hussein is atop the list) Gore all of the sudden must persuade the American people to side with Germany, who claiming our president is equivalent to Adolph Hitler!

As an American, I have a problem with that, and with any one who agrees.  Iraq has been a terrorist threat, increasingly in the last 15 years.

Believe Gore.  Go ahead.  First he and many others criticize Bush for not preventing September 11th (and not Clinton of course).  Then, he levels Bush and his administration for doing what they can to protect the American people and prevent another attack.

Go back to the evidence you want from the government, which you won’t get even though they have it.  Trust Bush.  It can’t be a matter of “not trusting Bush,” for you can trust Gore even though he completely lied about his view of Hussein.

Here’s my challenge.  Which is more likely:
A) We take care of terrorist leaders including Saddam Hussein as an example of our toleration with such inhumane acts of terror. (You don’t agree he’s a terrorist, read a history book) Or
B) We let them do what they want, keep our “hands” out of other countries business, and take the position we did before September 11.

If you chose A, you’re ready to accept the fact that American soldiers will die to protect the people the chose to fight for and hope and pray that our sovereign nation can protect our allies by doing so.

If you chose B, you are the sucker of a liar, selfish, not caring that haters come into our country and murder our people because you are more concerned with evidence.  (which is why Clinton and Bush backed off attacking Osama Bin Laden, no evidence to prove his “follies”)

You either support our God-given nation of America , or get out.  We either fight terrorism, or let them attack us first.  You make the call.  Don’t bother arguing.
